Company History
Stewart A. Rasmussen (SAR) began traditionally in the construction trades in 1982 by building and repairing homes in Santa Barbara and Montecito, California mentored by Reg of RW Wilkinson Construction. In 1988 he founded SAR Construction, which soon gained a reputation for solving intractable problems across many trades. The company resume now includes multiple licenses and certifications. SAR brings special expertise in potable water treatment and distribution systems, with expertise installing and maintaining a wide variety of leading-edge technology through all aspects of water distribution. SAR is now in partnership with Jesus Mora, a previous 20 year plus employee of SAR Construction. Jesus has an immense skill set and strong Spanish skills, bring an operational smoothness to projects in the Santa Barbara area unrivaled due to the seamless worksite communication and operational value brought to SAR’s water projects.
Stewart holds General Contracting, Well Drilling (C-57), and Fire Hydrants, Pumps & Tanks (C-16) California contractor licenses as well as a physics degree from UCSB. SAR is known for innovation and efficiency in a wide variety of non-standard projects. Of course, every contracting project receives the expert management and execution that has become his trademark. Jesus hold a General Contracting License with over 20 years experience with SAR’s projects.
