Company History
Stewart A. Rasmussen (SAR) began traditionally in the construction trades in 1982 by building and repairing homes in Santa Barbara and Montecito, California mentored by Reg of RW Wilkinson Construction. In 1988 he founded SAR Construction, which soon gained a reputation for solving intractable problems across various trades.
Stewart brings special expertise in potable water treatment and distribution systems, with expertise installing and maintaining a wide variety of leading-edge technology including fire pump equipment, through all aspects of water distribution. To ensure operational efficiency, Stewart is in partnership with Jesus Mora, senior project manager with nearly 30 years of experience with the SAR crew, and Jesus also holds his own Contractors license.
SAR Water & Construction is known for innovation and efficiency in a wide variety of non-standard projects. Of course, every contracting project receives the expert management and execution that has become the companies trademark.
Stewart holds a California General Building Contractor License 584595 B, Painting and Decorating (C-33), Well Drilling (C-57) and Fire Protection Contractor License C-16), as well as a physics degree from UCSB. Further, SAR has current Workers Compensation and General Liability insurance, and is bonded with American Contractors Indemnity Company.
Stewart and his wife Sarah have two sons, Thorin and Leif, and they enjoy flying airplanes, riding Penny their horse, and bird watching.
